
Former two division world champion Carl Frampton could be hunting for a third world title. The Belfast star has been removed from the WBA's featherweight rankings and the sanctioning body has now placed him in the number two position in the top ten of their super featherweight ranks. Frampton (23-1, 14 KOs) has been out of the ring since losing a close twelve round majority decision, and the WBA featherweight title, in his rematch with Leo Santa Cruz back in January at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas. The fight was a rematch of their bout from last July, which saw Frampton win a close majority decision to win the WBA belt at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn, New York. - See more at:
